Yam Fries & Spicy Chick Peas

This easy to make snack is a great alternative to the typical french fries and processed frozen chicken strips.  It is one of my favourites for the big game, or serve as an hors d’oeuvre  at dinner parties.

Yam Fries
1 yam sliced into wedges
1 tsp Olive Oil
Cumin to taste

1 cup Chick peas (soaked or canned)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Cayenne pepper, chili pepper & sea salt to taste

In one bowl mix yams, oil and spices and in a second bowl mix chickpeas, oil and spices.  Heat oven to 450 degrees and place Yam fries on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.  Flip yam fries and add chickpeas to baking sheet and place in oven for 20 minutes.  Baking times may vary so keep an eye on your snacks.
